Diwali

here comes the festival of lights

with the sound of the crackers,
the burning eathern lamps
dancing playfully with the the wind,
ground smeared with colours,
the joyous expressions,
and the food palettes,
this is Diwali for us,
sitting in a alien land away from our homes,
the face is lit with smiles
when I relive those memories
